• Make sure you are using the most up-to-date version of the SensorPush app. For Apple, do this by going to the App Store app on your mobile device and search for the SensorPush app to see if there is an update available. For Android, do the same but with the Google Play store.
• Now, verify that the router is communicating via 2.4 GHz or dual band because the Gateway requires 2.4 GHz. If not, then please turn on dual band/2.4GHz and continue to the next steps (or connect the Gateway via Ethernet and skip below).
• Go into the same room with the Gateway. If there is an Ethernet cable plugged into the Gateway, remove it for now.
• Power the Gateway off and then on again (unplug and plug it back in).
• Restart your mobile device entirely.
• Turn on your mobile device's bluetooth.
• Verify that you are logged into the app by opening the app, and from the main screen (the screen with the word "Devices" at the top) select the button in the top left to open app settings. Once in app settings you'll notice a section called "Account" with your email if you are logged in. If you are not logged in, please do so.
• Return to the main screen of the app and select the gateway.
• Select the "configure" option.
Your mobile device should now form a temporary connection with the Gateway so you can select a wifi network. Enter its password once you get the chance and you should be all set.
TIPS:
• If the network password isn't accepted or networks do not appear, return to the main screen of the app and select the gateway, and select the "configure" option to try again.
• If you have an Android phone and a few attempts with the above method does not work, try the same method, but turn OFF the bluetooth inside app settings and the Android will use a different method to form a temporary connection to the Gateway.
