Sometimes if you have multiple SensorPush sensors you may become uncertain which sensor is which within the application. Perhaps they were stored together unlabeled or became mixed up or confused during the setup process. Each sensor has its own device ID, but it is stored electronically within the device. There is no unique physical identifier or marking on the device itself. However, it's easy to identify the sensors with the app:
-
Make sure your Bluetooth is on for your mobile device.
-
Make sure Bluetooth is also on inside the SensorPush app as well. Here's how:
1.) Open the app, and from the main screen (the screen with the word "Devices" at the top) select the button in the top left to open app settings.
2.) Once in app settings you'll notice a section called "Configuration" with a switch for Bluetooth. Switch it ON. -
Take one of the sensors away from other SensorPush devices (e.g. into the next room) to avoid confusion
-
Go to the main "Devices" screen in the SensorPush app and select the add button in the upper right corner. Then select "Add sensor" and follow the prompts. (Do not delete the sensor from the app before performing this process.)
- Once the app connects to the sensor it will give a message "Already Paired as <<DEVICE NAME>>" which will identify the sensor.
