Most customers will not need this information. It's for networks with firewalls or other specific security measures in place. If you are in a corporate or other enterprise environment, you may need to provide this information to your IT staff.
For outbound it's ports 80, 443, and UDP port 123 (NTP), and incoming connections are not required.
Also, you can get MAC address information in the app during set up. It will appear once the Gateway has connected to the mobile device during configuration.
